ROLL 'TIDE'
by Mark Pantsari

Tonight at Cumberland's, check out what KAZAA.com has called "one of the 30 best unsigned acts in the country" as San Francisco sextet Ten Mile Tide makes its debut performance in Charleston.

Ten Mile Tide formed in 2000 and has been making new fans ever since with the groups blend of acoustic-based rock that touches on elements of bluegrass and folk but is also grounded in groove. The band is led by twin brothers Justin (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Jason Munning (electric guitar) and Steve Kessler (violin).

The band is currently touring in support of its latest album, "Flow," and after a few listens it's hard to resist singing along. The band is supposed to begin work on a new studio album later this year.

Show up at Cumberland's tonight around 10 p.m., hand over the $5 cover charge, and welcome Ten Mile Tide to Chucktown.

Check out www.tenmiletide.com for more information on the band.
