What a kick ass weekend in San Francisco. My 29th and 30th cheese shows with great friends, crazy costumes and hot chicks. Whatever was in that spiked beer someone gave me worked perfectly. Great to hang out with Jeff for two nights where he was not working. Stacy and Amber, you girls kick ass. Critter, Jenn and Drew are down for anything. Who brought the chick that kept pinching my nipple and licking my neck, that was weird. Great spot behind the soundboard. My god we drank a lot of beer. See everyone soon!!

Anyhow... congrats. I\'m about to tour Colorado for the first time myself, so I\'d love to pick your brain about venues.

chris i will definitely wear my costume.. and i have plenty of lights to share. people loved just the lights at vegoose, even without the glasses! i have 50 pairs still coming in the mail for free cause they sent me the wrong design.. plus i have about 10 more pairs here i think. we can never have too many! with the glasses on people were telling me they wanted to eat mushrooms with me! those things are frickin rad with the lights on stage. i'll bring some regular christmas lights to truckee so we can make something fun. but hopefully we can still go - they changed the dates so it might be tough in december.. did you hear the string cheese message i left on tam's voice mail? soo fun. i want ten mile tide to start playing some cheese covers.. first request: barstool.

Truckee roll call! Who is going? My wife and I are compulsive party planners, I need to get out of financial recruiting and into festival planning. Tamara and I will be rolling up with my sister Callie, the other Chris, Drew and The DH. My parents and a few of their friends are rolling up in their RV for the Saturday show. What should we bring? We will definitely pull a repeat of HSMF with bloody mary’s, margaritas and mimosas. Maybe we’ll bring a little something special for the late night after party as well. I think we have a hundred or so glow sticks left over from the last party that will be great to pass out. If you have any ideas send me an email or post them up. We are looking forward to partying with everyone. Maybe I will bring a few digital cams and we can make a DVD documenting the weekend.

First off I need to apologize to those who I told I would burn the HSMF sets for. My wife and I recently closed escrow on our new place so the past two weeks have been busy with painting and scraping popcorn ceilings from the 70’s. However, the discs are now burned and I will make a trip to the post office tomorrow. The first set from HSMF is now up on archive.org for those of you who would like to download it. I highly recommend it as it was great fun and a great set.

Time is Right a great song and the version from HSMF is good. Justin's singing voice is developing and now that the songs will all be written for him to sing I think TMTs vocals will just keep getting better. I think that he sounds a bit like David Gray, espially on Time is Right from HSMF. I have a pretty good sounding copy of the 7/2/05 set from HSMF. I also have the 7/3/05 set but it is not as clean. Send me an email and I will get the discs to you. I will take care of the postage and the discs and only ask that you pass the music around. If anyone is near or around the Sacramento area we are hosting a musical campout Oct. 1st, get in touch with me and I will get you the invitation. HSMF was a total blast. We scored a sweet camping spot wich gave us the opportunity to meet several new friends. Thanks to TMT for bringing by various guests including the entire Kessler family. Everything after the daily cocktail hour is a bit fuzzy. The Saturday TMT set was strong. It was our first time seeing the new lineup and they rocked. We brougt a large bottle of champagne, OJ, cranberry juice and vodka in a cooler to the Vaudevile tent and set up a spot near the front. The crowd was super mellow until the band went into a spirited version of Orange Blossom Special. The song got just about everyone on their feet and gave a few hippie chicks the twirlls. During the last song a giant butterfly fluttered above the stage, it was super cool. I enjoyed the Sunday set a bit more but it may be because I had already downed about 8 Bud Lights before they started. The song selection and placement was great. The crowd was into the set by the 2nd or 3rd song. Knuckles playing the fiddle and bass with some drum sticks was fun to see again. Justin's love song about annoying chicks was great. I love the jam out the back end of Facing West and it got everyone grooving. Knuckles singing the last song with his Feminist Chicks Dig Me shirt was a great closer. A highlight of the festival were the phantom gigs. We missed the Wednesday night jam but heard it was great from a variety of different folks. The Thursday night jam was fun until Keller Williams told the band to shut up. He was trying to sound check in the latenight venue adjacent to the bands camp spot. We walked out of the grandstand and they were just getting sweet life started. I was way to wasted to come up with any type of description of the parade set. I had been drinking untold amounts of rum and was riding on the back of a golf cart that was decorated to look like a giant green brain. Or maybe it was just the fungus that made me think it was a brain. Who knows?

I am trying to imagine pulling myself together after the Les Claypol/Slip late night show on Friday for an early morning bloody mary party on Saturday. Maybe I will just party through. I remember getting back to my campsite at 7:30 A.M. after the Moe. late night show last year. I cant wait for this weekend. Peace!

Who is your friend who saw Ten Mile Tide at a wedding? It was most likely my wedding. Small world! My group of friends are arriving at HSMF super early in hopes of landing a sweet camping spot on the lawn between the big meadow stage and the vaudville tent. However, we may want to have the AM cocktail hour at the bands camp site because they will have a lot more space. If you have any additional questions feel free to send me an email.

I have never actually seen the band but I have a friend who saw the band play at a wedding last summer and she tells me they are great. She also gave me two cds and they sound great. I have three friends plus myself heading up so count us in for a few cocktails each. See ya next week.. Laura Evans

How many people are planning on heading to High Sierra? We purchased two handles of vodka for bloody marys and a couple of the hog sized bottles of champagne to mix with some OJ. Do you think this will suffice or should we head to costco to get some more. We will have some additional green tinted supplies but dont want the band to forget any of their changes so maybe we will save it for after the set. Do I usually get this drunk on Wednesday nights? Oddly enough, I don't recall upsetting any ones dad either. Maybe these are signs of a larger issue but could some one please remind me who jessi and annigrl are? Please don't be offended, I give scalp massages to almost every one I meet.
